# Currents API FAQ

## Is there a free tier?
Yes. Currents provides a free tier with daily request limits.

## Where is the API documentation?
- /en/docs/

## How do I monitor service health?
- /en/status

## Does Currents grant publisher redistribution rights?
Self-service plans provide technical API access to metadata, descriptions, source URLs, and available content fields. Publisher redistribution, sublicensing, OEM distribution, or resale rights require separate enterprise scoping and may require publisher-side licenses.

## Can I display full articles from Currents?
Self-service plans are intended for API processing, previews, attribution, and link-out. Full article republication or substituting for the original publisher experience is not included in standard self-service access.

## Can I use Currents for AI summaries?
You may use permitted fields for internal AI/RAG workflows subject to your plan terms. End-user AI summaries, derivative content products, or workflows that substitute for original articles may require enterprise scoping and separate licensed content.

## Can I cache Currents data?
Short-lived operational caching for performance is generally expected. Long-term storage, persistent vector stores, archival caching, or dataset creation may require enterprise terms and should be scoped with us first.
